Is there an appetite for Power and Gas Peer-to-Peer trading in the UK?

Logic and the trend in market thinking suggests there should be but why have the incumbents in the UK not grasped the nettle?

We have seen limited peer-to-peer trading taking place in other countries and on a very small scale in the UK, so it could be down to market structure or regulation in the UK, but we suspect that this is not the case.
